The third stage of our business is the sales and distribution of the prepared fresh leafy green salads. We have a separate warehouse facility located 30 minutes from the farm, in the South Australian Produce Markets, Pooraka. Our warehouse is amongst a hub where all local produce is wholesaled to local distributors of fresh produce.

This aspect of the business involves a team of staff, consisting of forklift drivers, salespeople, administration and marketing that predominantly operate during the early hours of the morning. This sector takes care of the on sellers involved in retail and hospitality, ensuring produce is received to the consumers at its absolute freshness.

It is a lively hub where colourful proprietors make this setting a boisterous platform, where all local growers congregate to tap into all possible buyers for their fresh produce.

Our warehouse is a specifically built refrigerated area that ensures stock is maintained at optimum storage, even whilst on the sales floor. Always supporting food safety standards by maintaining cold chain supply, a critical control for highly perishable products such as leafy greens.

Our business has an advantageous offering to consumers, by being able to ensure less than 14 hours turnaround for Paddock to Plate freshness.

Our baby leaves are grown in our paddocks and are brought directly to our packing facility within hours of picking.  The leaves are treated with extreme care, ensuring core temperature is kept at optimum levels to ensure longevity of shelf life.  Rainbow Fresh has a state of the art packing facility with all of the latest processing equipment, and has the capacity to produce 10 tonnes of leafy greens per week.

Our Factory has segregated sections, allowing each process optimum attention as required:

- Dirty Leaves are triple washed in a controlled temperature using sanitised water and ensuring temperature is kept at optimum levels.

-Optical sorter removes foreign objects using air pressure

-Fully insulated facility keeping temperature levels low

-Automated Weighheads controlled and monitored by staff

-Quality Control-HACCP & SQF

Rainbow Fresh staff are all considered as our family members,they are passionate,dedicated and committed team members who work together ensuring the company vision is strong.

Our Farm is located in the Adelaide Plains on a 300-acre growing property. The growing region is a well-established and recognised horticultural zone offering rich growing soil, under ground water availability and a Mediterranean type climate that allows an extended growing season. It is an ideal location for producing a product that is high in flavour and nutrients.

All our leafy greens are grown in open sunny paddocks and is the key in creating a reputable product that has contributed to our produce being recognised for its exceptional shelf life and robust flavour.
