Our Community
Rainbow Fresh has been a Primary Producer for over 50 years supplying SA and bordering regions with our locally grown leafy green salads. What initially began as a small husband and wife new migrant farm is now recognised as an in Iconic SA Produce brand that has strong local support from SA Businesses and Consumers.
Being a family business for 50 years, we’ve had our fair share of struggles and hardships, not only in the early days, but more recently when a catastrophic fire destroyed our facility. The strong support and encouragement from our community and businesses gave us the determination and resilience to continue moving forward and to rise above the challenge we faced.
In recognition and appreciation of the support we received during our most vulnerable moments and continue to receive every day from our customers, we are strongly committed to giving back to the community.
For the months of September to December, you’ll see specially marked 120g packs of Rainbow Fresh salads on supermarket shelves.

PROUDLY SUPPORTING FOODBANK
It’s hard to believe that in a wealthy country like Australia, that such a thing as food insecurity can exist. But it does and sadly, it affects hundreds of thousands of Australians every day.
At the same time, government sources tell us that each year, over 7 million tonnes of food are wasted in Australia.
Thankfully, organisations such as Foodbank do a great job in helping to reduce this shameful waste, getting food on the tables of those vulnerable families experiencing food insecurity.
Any surplus Rainbow Fresh lettuces are supplied to Foodbank as a part of their food industry community, working together to fight against hunger.
